Solved my issue and had my Simplisafe doorbell working the way it was advertised.

I was quite surprised to find the doorbell from Simplisafe wasn't as simple to install as the rest of the range and didn't allow you to add chimes in different parts of the house. Luckily I found that Ohmkat make a kit that does just that and makes installing and powering the doorbell quick and simple with no need for an electrician! I had the whole thing set up within an hour. I was concerned cost might be prohibitive given we were ordering from the UK, but when you take into account the cost of paying an electrician to wire in a traditional chime and the benefit of having extra chimes in the garden building and upstairs it was actually very good value. I would definitely recommend the kit and Ohmkat were very quick to respond to questions with useful advice. The parcel arrived within a week, even over the Christmas holiday.

After struggling with the old wire I ordered this for my SimpliSafe door bell. Works perfectly. The old stuff wasn’t putting out enough power.

This is a great solution for anyone who has a wireless video doorbell. You can set up multiple chimes and their customer support was outstanding when I had an initial problem setting it up to work with my simplisafe system. Highly recommend to other who need a solution.

First I tried just replacing the existing wired doorbell that was not loud enough. As the wire from the front door terminated in the attic of my 2 story house, I tried installing the transmitter there. The range was not strong enough to ring the wireless chimes. So, I installed the transmitter inplace of the chime on the ground floor with its door contact shorted. When the existing button is pressed it powers the transmitter and rings the wireless chimes. It turned out to be easy to install and works great.

Works as it is advertised. Super easy to set up. The only thing I don’t like is the wire that shows but it beats not having a door bell camera any day.

I was trying to add an extra Simplisafe Doorbell and these guys had the perfect solution. And anytime I had a question, they were right there in their chat help to support.

It really was as easy as they say. For someone with no existing wiring it was easy to wire through my crawl space and everything has worked as it should with the SimpliSafe doorbell cam.
