Power supply works well

I Purchased the Ohmkat power supply and additional door chimes. The Ohmkat solution with Simplisafe Doorbell Camera works perfect, I highly suggest it.

The power supply works as described. I was apprehensive about the doorbell installation because we don’t have an existing doorbell, but I was so eager to get my SimpliSafe equipment installed after pulling the plug on the previous provider after terrible service. I really didn’t want to pay an electrician to run power for a doorbell chime to wire this doorbell to. That technology is practically obsolete as it is. This power supply was the perfect solution. OhmKat also has several helpful videos on YouTube. All I needed was a longer drill bit to get the wire into the house from outside and some outdoor sealant to protect that hole from water — that’s the part that nobody tells you! The power supply has been installed for over a week now and everything is working great.

Once hooked up, worked great, better than the hardwired to the mechanical chime with all the buzzing, etc. So thank you.

Sliced it into an existing connection and it worked perfectly with my simplisafe doorbell. Very easy to set up. Only confusing thing is the fact that "in" and "out" are written on each side of the wires but this doesn't really help or make sense. I guess "in" means in from the doorbell which is counterintuitive as "in" usually means power in. Regardless this product is truly plug-and-play. Works instantly once it's wired up. Perfect solution!

After burning a few traditional transformers, OhmKat finally gave me the proof that my old SimpliSafe camera was the problem. This helped me get a new camera shipped by SimpliSafe, and now everything is working great (with OhmKat).

Very simple to install. And very compatible with SimpliSafe. Initially, I bought the Transmitter plus two doorbells. Then I added two more doorbells. So four doorbells - kitchen, den, bedroom & back patio - no range/distance problem. Happy customer.

out how to hide the wire for the OhmKat.
